This post focuses on working at home and working in an office: the trend versus the tradition.
To help review the pros and cons, think of ONE of the possibilities listed below and COMMENT on it below.
The benefits of
- being an employer and not an employee
- being a trainer and not a trainee
- being an interviewer and not an interviewee
- working in the public service and not in the private sector
- working for a multinational company and not for a small business
- commuting in public transport and not in your own car
- working with individual projects and not with routine tasks
- setting up a home office and not having a workstation in an office
- being able to exchange ideas online and not having to put up with annoying colleagues
- being creatively idle and not having to be busy all the time
- sending reports via email and not having to deliver face to face presentations
- being able to innovate and not doing things the same way
P.S. You CAN write more than ONE paragraph and talk about more than one topic.
The benefit of being creatively idle is the possibility of thinking something totaly new that you cannot think while you're busy. Sometimes the pressure of having deadlines can block the possibility of exploring the ideas properly.
ReplyDeleteThe benefit of being able to innovate is creating a new perspective on what you do, to improve what have been done over the years, to make something different that can simply reflects on a promotion or even change the world!
